Dear Parent

‘‘Each and every animal on Earth has as much right to be here as you and me.”

-Anthony Douglas Williams

We live on the most beautiful planet, Earth which has many wonderful animals. These animals are a gift of nature to us. Animals contribute a lot to human lives. They are the ones which are closely associated with us in daily life. We have domesticated some of them, while others remain wild and are sometimes endangered by our activities. They give us company, and besides providing comic relief, they also serve us as valuable assistants.

Encouraging respect for animal habitats could play an important role in teaching kids about protecting the environment which in turn will also help to develop empathy for all living things. Educating children from an early age will result in positive change for animals and society as a whole. By utilising their desire to learn more about animals and how humans can help them, it’s so easy to educate and inspire our children about conservation and animal welfare.

In an attempt to instil the qualities of exploring, discovering, and appreciating and caring for animals, we are celebrating ‘Animal Welfare Week’ for Classes II-V from 24 September 2018 to 28 September 2018. A blizzard of playful activities will connect the children to animals. The list of the scheduled activities to be conducted for the children is attached along with.

So let’s join our hands in making this endeavour a success by encouraging the children to participate actively and motivate them towards maintaining the ecological balance.
