Dear Parents,

With great pleasure we welcome you back after a long and refreshing summer break. It is now time to involve ourselves in academic and co-curricular school activities. Our children who strive for excellence will be able to achieve their goals only if they are physically and mentally healthy. To ensure their well being we need to inculcate healthy eating habits among them and for that we would like to bring your attention to the following points:

1)    ‘Fruit break’: The school has a ten minutes fruit break for students after the first period. We appreciate your effort in encouraging your ward to carry a fruit to the school regularly.

2)    ‘Having breakfast’: Never allow your child to leave for school on an empty stomach. Skipping breakfast can make kids feel tired, restless, irritable and have shorter attention spans. Healthy breakfast improves concentration and performance in classroom activities and gives them the strength to engage in physical activity. You are requested to make having breakfast ‘nonnegotiable’.

3)    ‘Stay hydrated’: Make sure your child consumes plenty of fluids throughout the day. The school ensures the availability of clean and filtered water for the students.

4)    ‘Choose healthy options’: Avoid calorie dense and nutrient poor food (Maggie, pasta, white bread, chips, chocolates, etc.) and encourage healthier options to increase endurance and develop immunity.

We would appreciate your support and cooperation for the same.
