TRIP TO GERMANY
In these summer holidays, I went to Germany for 21 days from 12 June to 2

eight students from 6 different countries, namely Armenia, Bangladesh,

hours, but we learnt German throughout the day through fun activities and
direct interaction with Germans.
In addition to this, we also had to take part in one project. The project I
chose was related to web designing. We had to make a blog about the course.

planned for us. We played sports like football, badminton, table tennis,

always other activities like making masks, writing postcards, decorating
invitation cards etc. Once in a while, we saw German
movies. Many parties were organized as well, like the welcoming party,
cultural night, disco parties, and the farewell party
Twice, we were taken on day trips: once to Frankfurt and the other time to
Heidelberg. There we saw the famous buildings and places like the Main Tower
in Frankfurt and the Heidelberg Castle. We did lots of shopping. In the city,
we were encouraged to roam around independently and try using our German.
Other than these trips, we went to Butzbach 3-4
times, for sightseeing and shopping. A class trip was also organized. My
class went to see the “Hessische Landesbahn” which is the depot for all buses and trains
in the state of Hessen.
At the end, we had the option of giving an exam developed by Goethe– Institut.
I really enjoyed myself in those 21 days. I can feel the difference in my
German, especially in my speaking skills. I also made many friends from the
other countries. This way I got to learn about different cultures. I would
like nothing more than getting such an opportunity again!
