With a single minded pursuit, to spread the light of quality education among the middle class, the idea of establishing DPS Rohini was mooted by the visionaries of the DPS Society in 1995 and consequently DPS Rohini was established on 3 July, 1995 under the aegis of Delhi Public School Society. It initially started functioning in the afternoon shift at DPS Mathura Road.
With 250 students, the borrowed premises of DPS - Mathura Road, 8 teachers and a focussed and firm mentor Mrs. Rita Sen as the Founder Head Mistress, DPS-Rohini's tryst with destiny began in July, 1995.

In April 2000, the school got its own home in Rohini.

Today Delhi Public School Rohini is a proud member of the prestigious DPS Society which is dedicated to providing the best standards in education. The society has created an admirable global network with over 130 schools around the world.

DPS Rohini celebrated 10 year of its existence in 2005. Beginning with a humble number of 250 students and 8 teachers, the school has come a long way.

Delhi Public School, Rohini is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), India.
It is a Senior Secondary School with Science, Commerce and Humanities streams.

The school now boasts of not only quantity but quality as well with state- of-the-art Science labs, computer labs, well stocked libraries and Multimedia facilities. A plethora of sports and other co curricular activities are offered to the students. Whether it is skating, cricket, hockey, taekwondo, debating, classical dance, music or rangoli-making, the school has made its mark in a wide range of interests.

In the academic arena, the school has achieved spectacular success in several National Level Examinations as well as in the Board Examinations.

Education, in close partnership with parental responsibility, is what moulds our students into responsible and respectable citizens, equipped with the necessary skills to contribute in a meaningful way to the community at large. It is such ideals that have torched us to participate in socially relevant causes like Anti-crackers campaign, AIDS-awareness programmes and Shiksha Kendra for the underprivileged girl child.

However, no one can afford to become complacent. Stimulation of the mind is imperative to growth..… probing, questioning, challenging the obsolete, sharpening inherent talents & skills, adapting to and adopting new technology. We have taken that first step in our journey…..of exploring new avenues of knowledge, to make excellence our hallmark.

With a qualified and enthusiastic band of teachers and committed and dynamic Vice Principal Ms.Kanika Sachdeva Govi, the School Principal Ms.Vibha Singh is leading the school to newer skies as a true leader would.

DPS Rohini aims to inculcate qualities of integrity, honesty, trust, tolerance and compassion in order to promote a spirit of enquiry and to foster a scientific temper within the bonds of humanism.

The philosophy that inspires DPS Rohini is to bring to the child the small wonders of existence, the desire for discovery and the will power to come out a winner. It is not as much what is ‘poured’ into the student but what is ‘planted’ that really counts and makes the ‘difference’ that a DPS Rohini product will ultimately be distinguished for.
